Amazing Festival Run!

Wow! We’re having a pretty amazing festival run – we’ve won 30 awards, honours & distinctions so far! Most recently we won Best International Animated Short at the 2016 Animation Chico International film festival (USA) in December 2016.

We’ve screened at some great festivals like the BFI London Film Festival (UK), the Warsaw Film Festival (Poland) and the Hamptons International Film Festival (USA), Tribeca Film Festival (USA), Animatricks Animation Festival (Helsinki), Palm Springs International ShortFest (USA), Sitges Internacional Cinema de Fantastique (Spain), Santa Barbara International Film Festival (USA), Golden Kuker-Sofia International Animation Film Festival (Bulgaria), Aspen Shortsfest (USA) and Flickerfest International Short Film Festival (Australia) to name just a few.

The Orchestra to premiere at the Sydney Film Festival

Director Mikey Hill and I are thrilled to announce that our Screen Australia funded short animated film The Orchestra will have its world premiere screening at the Sydney Film Festival on 13th & 14th June as part of the Dendy Awards.image

Polo’s Robot screening at White Night Melbourne

From 7pm this Saturday 22nd February 2014 Polo’s Robot will be screening at the Southgate Cinema as part of White Night Melbourne. All the shorts showing are from the Made in Melbourne Film Festival vault. No bookings necessary and it’s free!

Festival Update for Polo’s Robot

Well it’s been a busy few months for Polo’s Robot and director/animator Peter Lowey. In May 2011 Polo’s Robot screened in NSW at the Dungog Film Festival and the Australian International Animation Festival, before going to Scotland in June to screen at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. In June Peter Lowey was in France at the Annecy Animation Festival where his entry Sidewalk Scribble won theAnnecy YouTube Competition. Then it was back to Melbourne to take part in the Melbourne International Animation Festival, where Polo’s Robot won Best Australian Film. In July 2011 Polo’s Robot had it’s WA premiere at the Revelation Perth International Film Festival and it also screened again in Melbourne at Red Hot Shorts.
